How to get there

It is probably cheaper to fly to Manchester rather than Liverpool – but a lot of the cheap airlines now fly to Liverpool so it would be worth checking that. EasyJet has quite a lot of connections between continental Europe and the UK.

You can get a train from Manchester airport to Liverpool Lime Street once an hour it take about 1hr – check http://www.thetrainline.com
