Databases search multicriteria and logical operators

This is part of the submitted UseCaseList.

A description of the scenario that you have in mind.

The user wants to search for watermarks containing a specified number - one or more - of elements, but not others. Say all watermarks containing a bull's head and a cross, but not a snake.

How important do you see this use case as?

  • Must Support

What other use cases are affected by the implementation of this one?

  • Databases usability / db integration / dating / authentication / cartography / bibliography

Things that the user must/might supply to the system.

  • Visual search by user

Things that the user will recieve in response to their request.

  • Watermarks are found.

Areas in which you foresee problems/issues arising.

  • Not all elements are described or the all basic logical operators implemented (issue identical to the previous on this list).

An example supporting this use case.

  • I can't find wm-s with a "Krone" and "darunter Lilie" beacause the string concatenation operator is not implemented (symbol "paranthesis"). Idem for the NOT operator.

Other Information

Any other information that you think is important to include.
