Required information

• Software Used
• How to interact with database software

If SQL based:

• Tables
• Column Names
• Column data types
• Meaning of each column (semantics)

If XML based:

• Schema of elements
• Semantics of each element

If neither SQL nor XML:

• Full description of how the data is represented
