Project Waqwaq offers a number of geographical information systems services in cultural areas, in particular cultural heritage, Humanities and historical research. Its goal is to promote the visual representation of cultures as an alternative way to their understanding.

Project Waqwaq is directed by Vlad Atanasiu at the Comission for Scientific Visualization, Austrian Academy of Sciences, Vienna.
