Data Harmonization

This concerns the harmonization of data at content and software level in all Bernstein components so that they are compatible (databases, image processing, cartography, bibliography).

The main development area is that concerned by the data in databases, specifically:

  • type of stored content
  • format in which it is expressed
  • classification schemes of data populations
  • query and search strategies
  • database interoperability
  • multilingual support.

Main developers: LABW, KSBM (OEAW), KB, NIKI.

International Paper Registry database software

  • IPRforSFF_Bernstein_PC.zip: This is the PC version (winzipped) of the Watermark Initiative Paper Database, IPR ("International Paper Registry")
  • IPRforSFF_Bernstein_Mac_Folder.zip: Mac version (zipped) of the Watermark Initiative Paper Database, IPR ("International Paper Registry")
  • datadict.html: Data dictionary (html version) for the International Paper Registry (IPR) developed at Bates College by Bob Allison and Jim Hart)
